Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify characteristics of strategic planning systems in JABODETABEK pharmaceutical industrial firms and to examine its relationship with organizational performance. The primary data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to 75 respondents representing pharmaceutical industries in th th JABODETABEK area, which was conducted from 7 to 15 January, 2016. The data were analyzed using the SPSS software version 22, and multiple linear regression analysis to test the hypotheses. The results from this study showed that strategy formulation of the strategic planning practices have the greatest impact on both financial performance and operational performance, followed by strategy implementation and strategy controlling and evaluation. However, internal environment, external environment, firm mission, and objectives and goals variables do not significantly affect both the financial and operational performance in JABODETABEK pharmaceutical industries.
