Abstract
Nowadays, it is important for banking industry to look deep into their capital because of the uncertainty might be happen to capital losses. In other words, Bank might be losing their business and turn to collapse because most of their capital uses to absorb the losses. From time to time it has been proven a lot of bank collapse although they were managing their risk in traditional way. If banking has managed their risk poorly, they not only lose their business but most important they lose their shareholder value as well. The nature of banking is gathering money from customer we called it funding and delivering money to customer that is lending. By this way, banking collected profit that come from interest rate lending reducing interest rate funding. The higher interest rate landing compare to interest rate funding the higher profit for banking. But in contrary the higher interest rate lending make the lending customer has difficulties to pay their loan. It might occurred probability of paying loan delayed more increasing. Bank has to protect their profit from losses in order to have sustainability profit in time of crisis or financial downturn. The analyse bank impairment of loan losses as dependent variable relate to macroeconomic factors as independent variable such as Inflation, Exchange rate, Gross Domestic Product (GDP), Oil Price, IHSG Index and Interest Rate using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) will help bank to managing their risk exposure and survive from bankruptcy.
