Abstract
The purpose of the research was to analyze an autonomous robot that can detect and avoid obstacles while following a line. Another purpose was to search for the most compatible sensor for its uses. Design and experiment were done for this project. Coding using Arduino was the basis for the autonomous car. The result showed that the autonomous car can detect and avoid obstacles while following a line. Improvements can be made to optimize the result. It also showed that Histogram avoidance was a very efficient algorithm. Overall, the research was a success. Some recommendations for future projects were given.
