Abstract

Solar energy is one of the main energy resources in warm countries such as Indonesia. It bring significant potential and great future in the field of solar energy generation. A few research have been done in Indonesia in particular field of solar energy generation, especially in mechatronic design of solar tracking. This past research is giving an inspiration to start a new research to determine the best interval time from the existing solar tracking system [1] in order to reach best performance. This research is using analytical methodology and use secondary data to simulate the solar tracking movement based on interpolation approach and was define 6 interval consist of 5, 10, 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute. The solar tracking system reach it best performance with interval 45 minute. The Total Net Power Gained increase by 28.48 %.
