Abstract
The term “eco-friendly” is used to describe activities, which are good for the environment. It is originated from “ecologically friendly”. There are a range of ways in which activities can be eco-friendly, ranging from products which are constructed in an environmentally friendly way to making lifestyle changes which are designed to benefit the environment (Hagen, 2008). The principles of eco-friendly concept is through 3R (Reduce, Reuse, and recycle) method and also Conserving Water and Energy. This study will use 2 five-star hotels under the same chain. This study uses 97 respondents from 2 respective hotels. As a result, the Implementation of Eco-friendly Concept (IEC) have positive impact towards Cost Reduction (CR). While the implementation of eco-friendly concept contributes 10-14% towards cost reduction, and through the implementation, it proves 92.92% correlation towards cost reduction. Based on the study, the Rooms Division should more concern in Implementation of Eco-friendly Concept to obtain the best result on cost reduction.
