Abstract

With the growth of technology, more advanced entertainments systems are surfacing to the world. More researches are done for new technologies. For entertainment purposes, smartphone is an essential item. In this era, the android phone is more advantageous than others because of its open source, everyone can develop an app. Therefore the idea to minimalize the component number in the ballbot appears, to replace the controller and monitor with an android app. By replacing the controller, the communication is also replaced to Bluetooth, followed by the change of processor. The program of processor is not changed in general. The android app however hasn’t existed previously, so it is developed using MIT App Inventor 2. The further development of this ballbot results in satisfactory performance from the communication, control and monitoring. All in all, the ballbot has satisfactory results and can be a direction to grow in trend. Its unique shape and complexity is very interesting and intriguing.
