Abstract
PT XYZ is a vehicle manufacturing company that focuses on assembling all the parts into one complete vehicle, they did not manufacture the parts, only assemble operations that take place there. Then, one of the problems that faced by the company, that is when inspection workers receive a new job for new model of vehicle especially junior worker, they tend to asking how to do the job to senior worker that is more confident with their works so that productivity is disrupted with existence of these events. These events happened because the lack of documentation within job cards that is used along the assembly operations is existed, thus this project is conducted to reduce and furthermore eliminate the existing problem. This thesis project solely focuses on developing a supporting document for job card, on the early stage of development, one must find, identify and verify the problem, therefore a methodology of DMAIC from Six Sigma is used in this project. The methodology is divided into five phases: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control. The deliverables of this project is a supporting document that will completed the existing documents with visualization of the assembly processes.
