Abstract

As the largest asset, inventory is an essential part for a business. Hence, inventory management requires a particular attention. This research aims to analyze the correlation of inventory management and the financial performance in Indonesian pharmaceutical industry listed on Indonesian Stock Exchange. Previous studies in other countries and industries show different outcomes relating to this matter. The data is gathered from published financial statement and annual report of the companies. The collected data is then be analyzed using statistical software such as SPSS and AMOS. The result from the statistical approach shows that there is a negative relationship between inventory management and financial performance. Moreover, inventory management has an important role in financial performance because the correlation found is moderate to very strong correlation.
