Abstract

Recent development on technology in the world, nowadays, is very advance. Thus, making a commercially exoskeleton is now possible. Most common purpose exoskeleton was made is to enhance human ability to do physical exercises beyond physical human capabilities, for example, heavy lifting object. Engineers and scientist are making exoskeletons for various purposes, one of which is as a device to help user with disability on their upper limb or lower limb. Exoskeleton can assist the user by improving their motoric muscle performance. This thesis project will try to make an exoskeleton that is motorized on knee part to help user with problem on their lower limn, specifically knee joint, due to injury or perhaps illness. The device is manually controlled using an external button as the input signal that programmed using Arduino microcontroller. The button will send signal and activate the gait pattern and command the actuator to move to selected position.
