Abstract
The purpose of this thesis work is to develop a scanning method to produce a 3D point based image by performing a triangulation method of a single laser line module, a single camera and an Arduino controlled rotating table which controlled and processed using Open CV and serial communication on Qt. Camera will capture the rotating object on the table which is simultaneously projected by the laser line. Open CV library will processed the image and saving the laser line position each frame while the serial command the rotating dc motor of the table to start rotating again. Those sequences will be repeated until 360 degrees of rotation are done.
