Abstract

This research aims to gain knowledge about a variety of digital technologies at BeritaSatu TV by analysing the phenomena of digital technologies in news broadcast television, which possibly support news production process by giving in preproduction, production, postproduction and on-air show. This research is underlined by theoritical backgrounds related to technologies in broadcast television, which are about broadcast television programs, digital broadcast transformations, and production stages. This research also uses qualitative method with in-depth Interviews as data-collecting techniques by having six participants as the samples from news production crews at BeritaSatu TV. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling in considering specific crews in news production process that experience analogues and digital technologies at work. This research shows that digital technologies used by BeritaSatu TV affect the efficiency and the affectiveness in news production process from outside to inside production studio. The process starts from recording, transfering and receiving coverages and materials, transmitting, and operating on-air show.
