Abstract
Energy saving become an important matter for human life. Designing a system which controls the brightness level of light bulb is one of the ways to reduce the energy consumption, since lighting uses most part of this energy. Light dependent resistor as light sensor captures the light level outside then control the dimming level of bulb from AC dimming circuit. By building a miniature smart home, the system offers a modernized and automated home that has lighting system to improve energy efficiency. The system is tested and proven to reduce the energy consumption. Within eight hours experiment, the system ran well and stable without any electrical failure.
