Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of microfinance institution on the poverty reduction of the Tangerang citizens that has and has not been joining in the institution for at least two years. The poverty reduction (Y) of the clients are being analyzed through three of independent variables, which are comprehension of microfinance activities (X1) living standard improvement (X2), health (X3), education (X4) and financial condition (X5). The research also identify which variable that has the most significant impact on the poverty reduction of the clients after joining in the Bank Pundi microfinance institution and also to identify the perception of the clients towards the microfinance activities. The methods used in this research are descriptive statistics and multiple regressions method, to test both of the independent variables and dependent variables. The result from the coefficient table shown that all of the independent variables have a significant impact toward the poverty reduction. From the result, we also can conclude that in overall, the Bank Pundi institution give impact towards the poverty reduction in Tangerang.
