Abstract

Customer trust in banks has been a subject of concern for banks because trust will have an impact on the performance of the business. However, based on a simple observation from the stock price of a few banks in Indonesia, there seems to be a question rising for the relationship of customer trust and bank performance the other thing is that there is a slightly interesting thing about how the Indonesian banks are owned. There are three types of bank ownership in which the bank is owned. There is private banks, state owned banks, and merging banks. This research will find the best performing banks out of these three types. The data will be gathered from the company annual report and also from the customer trust survey done by bank Indonesia. Using financial ratio analysis and CAMELS to measure the performance of the banks, and Pearson correlation and simple regression to measure the relationship between the variables. It is founded that there is a relationship between trust and performance. Even though it is a weak relationship, but it still counts.
