Abstract

This thesis identifies which factors significantly affect staying behavior intention of five-stars hotels. By determines the factor that has significant affect in order to maintain and continually increase their occupancy rate in Indonesia especially in Jakarta by focus on develop a strongest factor affecting staying behavior intention. This thesis using quantitative approach for data collected through questionnaire, while the secondary data are attained from various textbooks, journals and articles. The quantitative data was analyzed using SPSS software and path diagram with AMOS as a tool. Five-stars hotel in Jakarta has a big opportunity in hotel industry with many of foreign or domestic visitors that keep increasing. However, five-stars hotels should be aware with guest visitors’ staying behavior intention and determine what factors are affecting staying behavior intention by mediating factors, which is attitude. Result shows that all hypothesis is accepted and the functional value, symbolic value and experiential value have a significant affect towards staying behavior intention through mediating factors, which is attitude.
