Abstract

High rate of delay in a company’s process has been a serious problem which inhibit the company’s target to undergo the loading process towards the aircraft on time. A transportation failure is one of the main reason most company fail to meet their production target. The main objective of this research is to eliminate the high rate for delay. The root cause of the loading process delay is determined using ishikawa diagram. Then the time between failure is tested and identified as lognormal and exponential distribution, based on the statistical distribution mean time between failure for 3 carrosseries will be 1467 hours, 160 hours, and 922 hours. The mean time between failure will be the benchmark of time in the new proposed preventive maintenance. With the new and better maintenance program the company may be able to reduce the high rate of delay.
