Abstract

"Employee motivation is one the most crucial part in every hospitality industry. Good employee motivation will create good employee performance and it will help a company to achieve their objectives. Underperformance of Employee that caused by the lack of working motivation is the biggest problem in hospitality industry as it might leads to high employee turnover as. Therefore the company should pay their own attention on motivating their employee in order to avoid underperformance of employee, in this case intrinsic and extrinsic factor. This study analyze about does employee motivation have any impact towards employee performance and this study is looking forward about which indicator will affect the most towards employee performance. 68 samples were taken from the employees of Soll Marina Hotel Serpong, The result is that employee motivation influences employee performance as much as 28.8%. Besides, ‘training program and promotion opportunity have become the most influencing factor’ in this study case. Additionally, there are several other factors that were not being discussed in this study but also influence employee performance. Furthermore, it is highly recommended for Soll Marina Hotel to maintain the highest indicators that have big influence towards employee performance which are ‘training program’ and promotion opportunity’ and improve on the indicator that only has a little impact on employee performance such as ‘trust’. Lastly, this study was started from 23rd of February 2017 until 16th of June 2017.
