Abstract

Ergonomics has recently become one the factors, which helps a company to increase the productivity. Therefore, conducting ergonomics study is considered necessary for further improvement. This research focuses on ergonomics study and cycle time analysis of sitting and standing sewing workstation at a shoe factory. In addition, 6 processes with 85 participants have been observed. REBA and T-Test has been chosen as a measurement tools. REBA is chosen because it could assess all body parts, while T-Test is chosen because the data of this research is taken from different population and treated differently. Initially, perpendicular photo per each participants are needed to be taken for calculating the REBA score. For analysing the cycle time, minimum 30 data should be taken, than should be normalized. T-Test is used to validate the significance of influence, so the correlation of sitting and standing workstation can be known. After the usage of analysing tools, all the result is averaged, than compared to know which workstation is better to be used.
