Nowadays, the firm required to work in high performance to pursue profit. On the other hand, an Indonesian firm in general operates manually doing their business processes and activities. This dissonance forces them to adapt and improvise, especially, the finance expense claim process. This process is to pay back a certain amount of money, which employee charges to their firm. The aim of this research is to analyze the cost and time efficiency on doing finance expense claim manually compared to the implementation of the automated workflow management system to give an empirical result while at the same time help firm decides a better process to be used. This research started after the problem identified, continued by various literature reviews. Data analysis is based on the identification of cost elements (material, labor and expense), followed by the calculation of total cost based on cost behavior (fixed cost and variable cost). The research ended with giving answers and solution related to the problems. In conclusion, this research proves that the implementation of the automated workflow management system in finance expense claim business process increase cost efficiency, and increase cycle time efficiency. However, in the same time the lead time efficiency not increased.
