Abstract
CT scan is an imaging device used to visualize the inside of the human body. CT scans can be used to look for abnormalities in the body and to help provide information on their size and location. However, the organ under examination has a risk of radiation due to the use of x-rays. Since Phantom is well known in radiology for estimating the dose of radiation given to patients and evaluating the quality of the imaging system. The purpose of this study is therefore to compare the absorbed dose of radiation between the phantom and the human. Lithium fluoride thermoluminescent dosimeter (TLD) was used to measure the radiation dose. The TLDs were placed on the head and abdomen area for measurement. This study was performed by comparing the average dose in each area with the dose limitation by the IAEA or BAPETEN to ensure the safety of the object. The results show that the radiation dose received by phantom and human is under dose limitation. Phantom can be used to replace the human body.
