Abstract
To have a sound better recognition, a Higher Educcation Institution (HEI) needs to establish its research at a competitive level. It is for the aim of not only building University image but also mostly to build a competitive in research. As regarded by Government of Indonesia (GoI) that HEI must perform mainly three important roles i.e. (1) Education, (2) Research, and (3) Services. Therefore, among them research is the notable role that enable a University achieving high recognition especially in the fore-front international research partnership. Universitas Widya Kartika (UWIKA), one of Indonesia's private HEI, has indeed established an international bio-based (action) reseach with an overseas partner that enable UWIKA gained experience, knowledge, and expertise in this area of bio-based (action) research. Therefore, this paper aims to share UWIKA's experiences in establishing and sustaining partnership in international bio-based (action) research.
