Abstract
PT XYZ is a vehicle manufacturing company that focused on assembling all the parts into one complete vehicle; they did not manufacture the part, but only assemble operations that take place there. Tightening become the main activities in assembly line of PT XYZ. One of the problems faced by the company is when the training of tightening conduct, there is no supporting module to demonstrate handling tool of tightening because it related to worker skill. The situation can lead to the quality built of the car in a negative way when the worker leaves the company. Knowledge management system will ensure that the knowledge will retained in the company so it can be used later to train new worker or develop the existence workers skill. This thesis focused on developing training modules for tightening operation on assembly line of PT XYZ. The methodology that used is KM-IRIS Methodology. KM-IRIS is divided into five phases: identification, extraction, representation, processing, and utilization. The deliverables of this thesis is Training Modules including, handbook of tightening, training presentation, practical tools, and vide. The user acceptance test is done to see the feedback from the workers about the new training modules. PT XYZ has been implementing the new Training Modules of Tightening.
