Abstract

Counterfeit is one of the issues that currently facing by the world and many industries keep struggling until today with counterfeit. Counterfeit in pharmaceutical industry is not only about loss of revenue the counterfeit also making big impact on people’s life. Many countries reported on death and sick people which caused by the counterfeit. Many countries recently start the program that called serialization system for track and trace the product and as prevention for counterfeit product. In Indonesia the system not yet started even do there are lot of counterfeiter caught by BPOM and Indonesia police recently, it’s only matter of time to implement serialization system. The need on modified on the existing serialization to ensure the effectiveness of system is to change the control of scanning from conducted by pharmacy or hospital into the scanning conduct by patient and there is a need to utilized GPS on the smartphone for better system on detection on the counterfeit product.
