Abstract

Prototyping and evaluation is an important aspects in developing the modular, efficient and affordable solar water heater. There are already many existing solar water heater products, each of them have a different capabilities. This study of developing solar water heater will be focusing on the synchronization of solar water heater system for the usage in Indonesia, in Jakarta to be specific. The studied will be focused on the collector and tank insulation properties, material that will be used and the process of solar water heater. The purposed of using Solidworks simulation is to observe the strength and capability of materials of solar water heater components. The experiments will be tested using some sensors that integrated with Arduino to be the comparing tools between the simulation concept and the execution of the project.
