Abstract
The level of uncertainty has grown rapidly over the past decade caused by globalization and has infiltrated the world of banking. Credit lending serves as the highest risk a bank can be exposed to. Therefore the implementation of good credit risk management has become more essentials. The sudden increase in PT Bank XYZ's NPL ratio had shown potential losses from credit risk exposure. However, PT Bank XYZ recorded an increase in net interest income within the same period. This research aims to analyze the influence of credit risk management on the bank’s financial performance based on its profitability. The method used was Multiple regression Analysis with various tests for validity and reliability. All the data were taken from the financial report of PT Bank XYZ with the addition of reliable sources and interviews. The results revealed that some of the indicators are highly significant. Hence, it can be concluded that the application of credit risk management is important for bank's financial performance, especially in terms of profitability.
