Abstract
The purpose of this thesis is to design a prototype of escargot sorting machine by gravitational separator system based on the classification required by PT. XYZ based on weight. Similar principle used in the mining industry to separate mineral from other particle which will be applied with some adjustment to compensate characteristics of escargot. The loop will be installed in a spiral configuration on this machine will be the main parts to separate the escargot with relying on gravitational energy and centrifugal force. A water pump will be used to help in the sorting process which will act as the adjustable component where the velocity of the escargot sliding down the loop will be depending on the debit of water flowing to the system.
