Abstract

This study aims to discover the impact of vertical integration acquisition strategy on the company activities performance, mainly focused on supply chain performance, company performance and consumer satisfaction. Researcher focuses on examples of cases that occurred in CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) business where researcher analyzed ten companies CNG operators and ten companies which are the clients for CNG business. The study used a questionnaire to gather the data on number of practitioners of the companies that becomes the target of research. Hypothesis testing is done by looking at the test results on average in the two groups of companies CNG based on companies that have been doing vertical integration and companies that has not done vertical integration acquisition. From the test results obtained, it revealed differences in the average ratings survey respondents regarding the company's activities after the company performed vertical integration. Where the company has been doing vertical integration has improved performance supply chain, the company's overall performance and consumer satisfaction than companies that has not done vertical integration. This shows the impact of vertical integration acquisition on the three factors; supply chain performance, company overall performance, and customer satisfaction.
