Abstract

The primary purpose of the research, is to identify the hindrance and items needs to be done in order to reach the next level of IT Maturity in order to be ready for the next drilling campaign that will took place in Mid 2016 and to provide alignment to IT department’s 2016 goals which is to provide reliable system and cost effective IT services & commit to support and enhance core missions through the effective system management in use of information technology components. The study is significance due to uniqueness of IT governance in Oil and Gas Sector and few COBIT research took place in this sector especially in Indonesia. After comparing the 2016 IT Goals with COBIT 5, 7 of 8 DSS04 module (Deliver, Service and Support/Manage continuity) have a Not Achieved Rating, which indicate that costing almost all part of the module is not implemented. The suspected reason is due to simpler IT process and requirement compared with other industries, IT in oil and gas usually revolves around computer rent, software licenses, satellite communication and data storage. For this part since the nature of business is different with other industries, application of a costing method according to service definition is cumbersome and only complicates the simple IT requirement of this company
