Abstract

their influence in choosing a restaurant. Jakarta‟s economic progress over the years have led the citizens‟ well being to thrive. Correspondingly, a shift in improved quality of life has been noted with the change. With growing ease of access to media, citizen‟s awareness to a healthier lifestyle has made organic food a favorable option to reduce and minimize risk of contracting various diseases over conventional food. Research was held in Mars Kitchen, a South Jakarta based restaurant that serves organic food. Questionnaires were distributed to understand on consumers‟ perception toward organic food and their decision in choosing a restaurant. Results are analyzed by utilizing SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solution). Evaluation of the data indicates positively that the consumer‟s perception toward organic foods have 73.0% influence on their decision in choosing a restaurant. Results of this study will allow Mars Kitchen to recognize customers‟ preferences and act as a guidance for future references on similar topic.
