Abstract

In the era of globalization, many companies are trying to compete with each other, especially in insurance industry in Indonesia. Therefore, it is important for the employees in insurance company to be able to perform well in order to sustain their insurance business. In case of PT. Fin Winner Agency, they experienced a turndown in sales due to underperforming employees. Thus, this research aims to analyze which factors that might influence employee performance. A multiple regression model was used to analyze the relationship between different factors of employee performance, namely motivation, training and development, and rewards, and employee performance itself. It was observed that, despite all factors have a positive influence towards employee performance, motivation is the one factor that has the greatest influence in determining an employee’s performance in the organization. It is therefore recommended that, in order for the company to be able to compete from internal perspective, the management should further enforce motivation system as their highest priority, while also including training and development and rewards as their secondary focus to improve the human resources management system in PT. Fin Winner Agency.
