Abstract

Small manufacturing company often use traditional method in their production process. This breadcrumbs factory is a small food industry that still implements the aditional production method. The standardize process and standard time has not been implemented. Another problem is about the product quality that doesn’t meet the customer demand. The unstandardized process and time will lead to produce unstandardized product. The unstandardized product will be rejected and cannot be repaired which can be categorized as waste. The DMAIC methodology helps to define, measure, analyze, and improve the problems with the supporting analysis from the flowchart and relationship diagram as the quality control tools. Redesigning tasks and arrangements in the production process are the solutions to improve the product quality and eliminate the waste in this breadcrumbs factory.
