Abstract
Hotel strongly rely on employees to create exceptional customer service to distinguish themselves from other competitors. This dependence on employee shift hotel company focus to have a better care for employee. Hence, specifying the factors that affect employee satisfaction is crucial. This study was made to determine the influence of motivation on employee satisfaction. Herzberg two factor theories have been used to measure motivation and 5 indicator have been used, which are salaries, intrinsic job feature, relationship with coworker, relationship with supervisor, and work environment. Questionnaire have been distributed to 170 respondent to determine said impact. The result from this data was then analyzed by using Microsoft Excel and SPSS. The data passed validity, reliability, and classical assumption test and then the regression was analyzed using ANOVA and t-test. The findings indicated that motivation have a significant impact of 81% toward towards employee satisfaction. Therefore, it is advisable for the company to maintain the motivation level of employee because it greatly affect their satisfaction level.
