Abstract
Managing employees seems to be important issue in this increasing competition among hotels. As a service providing firms, hotels must be able to manage the employees’ emotion in order to increase the quality of services and to create value for customers, since controlling employees’ emotion contribute to higher employees’ job involvement Therefore, employees’ job involvement are highly needed. The objective of this research is to find out whether emotional labor give impact toward employees’ job involvement. To this end, a questionnaire was employed to Front Office and Food & Beverage Service employees of Pullman Jakarta Central Park. Using SPSS software and simple linear regression method, 100 data collected is processed through validity and reliability test, classical assumption test and hypothesis testing. The result shows that emotional labor give impact toward employees’ job involvement. It is recommended for the hotel to maintain the high influenced indicator while also paying attention to other factor such as job autonomy.
