So many employees are not engaged in their work. Companies are coming up with strategies to retain their employees and work engagement plays a major role in employee retention. The purpose of this research is to help find out which dominant personality would positively affect someone’s role and their work engagement. The sample for this research is taken from hospitality employees from Tangerang area. This research uses the probability sampling with a simple random sampling by distributing questionnaires to hotel and food and beverage establishments with a total of 126 respondents. Using Big 5 Model and ISA Scale to measure the personality and employee engagement. Multiple regression is used to test the hypothesis between the variables. The result showed that personality has a significant impact towards employees’ working engagement, 93.1%. The result shows that conscientiousness has a major role in employee’s work engagement.
