Abstract
The analysis of how the Indonesian capital market enhances Indonesian economic performance discusses about the relationship between capital market and economic performance of Indonesia. This study gathered the data from 2007-2014 and analyzes it to find what capital market impact towards Indonesian economic performance. This study will use simple linear regression to analyze the significant level between independent variable and dependent variables. Jakarta composite index will be used to measure the capital market condition in Indonesia and for the economic performance, it will use GDP, balance of payments, inflation rates, interest rates and unemployment rates. By examining all the data regarding capital market and economic performance in Indonesia, this study could give a recommendation and show the importance of capital market. It will also discuss about the relationship between the capital market and economic performance. If the capital market can generates significant impact to create better economic performance, then people should understand about the importance of capital market. The results of the study indicate Indonesian capital market has a significant impact towards GDP, unemployment and interest rate. Balance of payments and inflation in Indonesia is not significantly influenced by Indonesian capital market. GDP has a positive relationship with capital market and the other indicators such as unemployment, interest rate, inflation and balance of payments has a negative relationship where the capital market increases, it decrease the other indicators.
