Abstract

Transformational Leadership is one of the most applicable leadership style that motivates and encourages employees to perform well. And psychological empowerment is one of the tool that mediates the role of transformational leadership that can lead to job satiscation. The purpose of this research is to analyze the relationship between transformational leadership, psychological empowerment, and job satisfaction in service industry. This research used quantitative method where 116 questionnaires was distributed to OPCO Indonesia Company employees. SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) was chosen to analyze the research model which creates path diagram, regression weights, and model fit. And the results show that Transformational Leadership affects Psychological Empowerment by 96% whilst Psychological Empowerment affects Job Satisfaction by 44%. Therefore, it can be concluded that Transformational Leadership has significant influence to Psychological Empowerment and Psychological Empowerment has weak influence to Job Satisfaction in OPCO Indonesia Company Jakarta. This research adds some recommendation to give trainings about leadership in order to enhance the TL characters and job knowledge to make the employees feel competent and love their job.
