Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to improve the current Reverse Vending Machine that lacks a crushing station. The crushing station will be a significant beneficial factor for our society especially in waste management system. The previous version of Reverse Vending Machine does not have the crushing system, even though the waste has already been classified, but the machine itself could not accommodate a large amount of waste with its original dimensions. The crushing system will reduce significantly the dimension and in the same time, it can contain more waste in its inventory. This thesis project also aims on redesigning the outer cage of the Reverse Vending Machine so that the crushing system can be implemented in the Reverse Vending Machine. While having the Raspberry Pi 3B+ substituted by Electrical Wiring Control as the processing unit to ensure the improvement of performance of the system.
