Abstract

Because of the current technological advancement in the world, technology has been increasing. And one of the most advanced innovations is prosthetics. This has been a very important innovation and one of the most expensive ones with the average pricing of USD 7000 and the current number of disabled people reaching 2-3 billion people around the world. Because of this, the aim of this project creating a more cost-efficient prosthetic but with the same standards. The other goal is also to give a prosthetic that may be used by many people without a lot of calibrating. The main focus of this project is to integrate the system which runs on EMG Sensor Myoelectric Pattern Recognition with the mechanical movement for the fingers of the prosthetic. The integration will be between two Arduino Nano using RxTx communication, the way of communication provided by Arduino themselves. The RxTx Communication or the Master and Slave Communication will have to mark one of the Arduino to be the master or the Transmitter and the slave or the Receiver. In this case, the Master is the Arduino connected to the EMG Sensors, and the receiver will be the Arduino connected to the mechanical fingers.
