Abstract

COVID-19 Pandemic becomes global concern nowadays, including in Indonesia. This disease is mostly attacking human breathing system which causes the increased demand of respiratory tools. Unfortunately, advanced respiratory tools, such as ventilator is still very expensive and limited in quantity. Meanwhile, the basic respiratory tool, such as bag valve mask (BVM) is manually operated and needs medical professional personnel to operate. Due to the need of simpler and inexpensive basic respiratory tools, this thesis proposes an emergency respiratory tool which is portable and easier to use. By fulfilling the requirement from BPFK, we design and develop a portable electric pump emergency resuscitator which treated as an open-sources knowledge, spare parts are able to be bought on the common market in Indonesia, and everyone is welcome to build the device using given manual guide.
