Abstract

Various types of electric vehicle propulsion systems, one of the most common is the type of brushless direct current motor (BLDC) and AC induction motor. Compared to the induction AC motor, the BLDC motor has a disadvantage in terms of the initial torque which is a large starting torque so that the electric vehicle moves suddenly. The use of induction AC motors in electric vehicles has a better starting torque but in Indonesia it is very rare because of their minimal availability. In this study, the authors made an electric vehicle propulsion system using control (inverter) using Arduino and using AC Induction industry motors. The result of using an inverter and an industrial induction electric motor produces torque that can be controlled according to the load so that when used in electric vehicles it will be safer because it does not move suddenly
