Abstract

A good production line should have a low number of defects in its production rate. To have a low number of defect, a company should have a standardize production area and production process. Since every company have the responsibility to deliver a high quality product, PT XYZ are bound to do the same. However since PT XYZ recently just moved to a new production facilities and the number of defects has risen up. The problem then founded where there is 3 process in the production line that held most of the defect from the total number of defect. This defect rate are disturbing the production rate weekly, where the company cannot fulfill the required number of product that must be delivered every week. In addition, by eliminating the number of defect on the specific process, it will increase the number of production every week. To do that, an evaluation and root cause analysis used to evaluate the process, then standard operating procedure and work instructions will be developed to ensure a low number of defect.
