Abstract

The Information Technology (IT) is growing very fast in several past decade, for sure cannot separated from 3 (three) aspects, namely Software, Hardware and Brainware, these three aspects are interrelated and interconnected. Several companies which engaged in these services, often times they faced with time limited and effort to manage their Project Risk, due to contradiction with another aspect, namely the achievement of revenue targets so that in the same time the projects that they handled were exceeding the reasonable ratio. The author analized Project Management and Project Risk Management at PT. XYZ. To minimize a project failure probability a project manager must have a process to manage project risks. This process is normally developed in the manager’s head depending on his or her experience in the project. The result of this improvement is just like having an experienced project manager on the team. FMEA helps to identify potential failure modes and the consequences of those failures, and formulate improvement solutions and minimizing the project risks is one of the key responsibilities for a project manager.
