Abstract

The impact of internship towards career developmentperceptions in Swiss German University hospitality students is the main objective of this research. The study aim to find what impact perceivedby studentsduring internship that can influence their career development This study islimited for Swiss German Universitystudentmajoring in Hotel and Tourism Management. The application of Social Cognitive Career Theoryas career framework isadopted in this research as the measurement of career development. There were 100 valid respondents in this research.The simple linear regression is practiced in this research by using SPSS to help with the regression computationand other related calculation. The studies perceived opinion about the internship program and found a good indication of the recent internship occurrence. The majority of sample agreed to perceived benefit from their past internship and help with their career developmentprocess. The recommendation is delivered for stockholders of internship: students, employer, and academic institution.
