Abstract

The role of Puteri Indonesia as a public figure is never seperated from the public spotlight and opinion that demand the Puteri Indonesia to be perfect. As we know the contestants comes from a different backgrounds, skills, and cultures which makes the Yayasan Puteri Indonesia is required to standardize the ideal Puteri Indonesia through training and development. So that Puteri Indonesia not only look beautiful, but also clearly define what the objective of Brain, Beauty, and Behaviour should be. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the training process in Yayasan Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant contest. The analysis will study the entire period in which the contestant is engaged in the contest until she hands over her role to the next Puteri Indonesia, the research of this study is classified into qualitatvive method to gathers the information of the training process and supporting data from the questionnaires. Based on this study, it concludes that each of the Puteri Indonesia needs a different training classes and training program due to the different skill and abilities that they have. Therefore, the reasearcher proposed Yayasan Puteri Indonesia to use four-stage cyclinc model. Which are training needs assesment, training design, trainer performance and trainee performance.
