Abstract

Indonesia is well known with cultural and natural attractions which encourage tourists to experience tourism in Indonesia. Especially, tourism industry has become one of the largest income generators in the world. This research aims to analyze the relationship of traditional marketing mix (Product, Price, Place and Promotion) and promotional mix (Advertising, Sales Promotion, Personal Selling and Publicity / Public Relation) over tourist decision making when choosing a destination. Furthermore, this research has been performed in one of the beautiful islands in Indonesia, Gili Trawangan. The data was collected through questionnaires which spread to 120 tourists in Gili Trawangan. Data analysis and testing are done by using SPSS through multiple regression method. The results revealed that marketing mix and promotional mix do influences tourists' decision making when they choose Gili Trawangan as their travel destination.
