Abstract

This study seeks to examine the user satisfaction towards interactive features in Kumparan online news portal. By applying Uses and Gratification Theory, this research is able to investigate the gratification sought and gratification obtained received by the consumers after using the Kumparan interactive features. Therefore, the satisfaction can be identified afterwards. This thesis work also intended to look if the usage of Kumparan interactive features is correlated with the user satisfaction. Using quantitative study for the data collection, an online survey is conducted with university active students in Tangerang area as the target. 151 respondents were gathered to fill in the questionnaire. As a results of this findings, the user satisfaction towards Kumparan interactive features is found low and the weak relationship between the usage of interactive features and the satisfaction itself is discovered.
